Bilingual JE Marketing Manager (46075-6)
<Responsibilities>
• Lead, mentor and develop regional marketing team including publicity, social media
• Create and implement regional marketing strategies to drive traffic, grow brand awareness, and engage communities through social media, fan events, and paid media.
• Align global objectives with impactful regional initiatives, ensuring cohesive branding, efficient asset creation while promoting innovation.
• Set long term regional goals and prioritize initiatives in collaboration with global marketing team(s).
• Oversee regional IP initiatives, marketing campaigns and cross-business efforts to drive conversation and earned media reach.
• Manage regional marketing budgets to optimize ROI.
• Communicate with VP on regional publicity efforts and lead event strategy, including premieres and fan events ensuring strong presence and satisfaction with our Japanese content partners.
• Oversee all marketing programs working with high profile brands such as Crunchyroll, Hulu/Disney+, Amazon and Netflix.
• Monitor and evaluate distribution partners’ marketing performance and identify ways to improve and make it more efficient.
• Oversee the slate of Company brand campaigns by managing campaign/asset planning and production -- including timelines, project deliverables, resources, and requests.
• Work with Company production team in Japan for special content and promotional requests.
• Use data to inform production best practices, eliminating inefficiencies throughout our operational pipelines
• Develop and execute social strategy including our following and engagement across key platforms
• Create and maintain a content calendar for all social channels working with in-house teams to generate new content with a goal for user acquisition
• Work with content, brand, planning, engagement and Licensing team to develop and maintain an editorial and promotions calendar.
• Manage Company's Official YouTube channel for monetization and promotional strategies.
• Special projects as requested.
<Requirements>
- Fluent in Japanese
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Marketing.
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing (experience with SEM, SEO, and/or Paid Social a plus).
- Knowledge in VOD licensing, industry windowing and holdbacks.
- Experience in media industry and post-production workflows.
- Analytical, results-driven, and detail-oriented with the ability to tell a story using campaign results.
- Experience with Adobe Suite or similar graphic applications and video editing software
- Marketing experience in YouTube and other social media platform.
- Deep knowledge of and passion for anime and manga is a plus.
- Expert knowledge of social analytics platforms (i.e. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Slack, Adobe Photoshop
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of Graphic design, video editing skills
